講談社さんとの打ち合わせでも、「じゃあどうするのか」が一番の問題になりました。（というか、それ以外はほとんどなかったような……ごくふつうに流れる案件なら打ち合わせなんてごくごく簡単に終わるんでそんなものなのですが）

一般的に考えられる対応策は（↓）でしょう。

  1. 下訳者をたくさんつける
  2. 共訳にして分担する
  3. ほかのことを投げ捨てて必死でがんばる

訳文の品質というか、できるだけいい本を読者に届けるという意味では3がベストです（正確には「刊行を遅らせ、十分な時間を確保してひとりでやる」ですが、今回、この選択肢は最初からないので）。ただ、「世界同時発売」という縛りと両立しないならあきらめざるをえません。「世界同時発売」を実現しつつ、一番いい本になるのはどのパターンかということを考えなければならないわけです。
